Alex Hinx is a 24-year-old filmmaker based in Kent and London, UK. A 2(i) BA(Hons) Film and Television graduate from University of Wales, Alexander has since worked in a variety of roles in both the television and film industries as well as writing and directing his own award-winning short films.

Since graduating, he has worked as a lighting electrician, location manager, assistant director, cameraman, offline editor, video journalist and director. His 2007 horror short, Asylum, saw TV actor Shaun Williamson star as a twisted mental patient and won him acclaim at that year's 2 Days Later Short Horror Film Competition. He was then awarded the Shepway Film Award for his 2008 short, Summer Saturday, which also went on to win the Canon/Guardian Freecording award later that year.
